Presently the world population is around the six billion mark. There are 195 independent nations of which 192 make up the United Nations. To date and as closely as they can calculate they are 6912 languages and there are countless unique customs represented by the various global cultures.

There are vast diversities among the peoples of the earth. What is so amazing is that with all the uniqueness and diversity among us there are some very basic similarities, similarities that are known simply as "Human Nature".

It's human nature to fear the unknown. It's human nature for parents to love and care for their children, even risking death for them if necessary. There are some great traits we all have in common.

There's A Dark Side

If human nature had only the good side there'd be no need for civil laws, no need for judges or jails. The human nature has its "dark side" and it's that which poisons our civilizations.

It's human nature to kill, steal, lie, hate, harbour bitterness and unforgiveness. It's human nature to manipulate and cheat in order to get ahead in life. The list goes on. Why are there wars among us?Why can't we agree on some of the basics so that we can life on earth together in peace? Why is there enough nuclear weapons among various nations to completely destroy the world at least 11 times? Why are hundred of thousands presently starving to death while others live careless of their fate? Why are we presently experiencing a global recession? The answer to that, in short form, is simple "greed".

It doesn't matter where we're from in the world if we cut your selves we all bleed red. It's the same with "human nature". There are simply some things we all have in common. The point is "human nature" is the common denominator among all the peoples of the world. Human nature has been poisoned. That's why there's the "dark side".

There's A Need For Change

On Dec. 17, 1903 Orville and Wilbur Wright achieved the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human fight. It's incredible how much change has taken place over the past one hundred years. We've put people on the moon, probed the surface of mars and have received close up pictures of Saturn.

All the changes in aviation over the years have not "just happened". Highly educated and trained aeronautical engineers have purposely applied new technologies as well as information gained through extensive testing to achieve the advances in the aircraft of the 21st century. It's one thing to change things in the physical realm and quite another thing to change things such as the human heart. People are able to receive physical heart transplants but what about the spiritual heart? What about changing human nature? Who is capable to do this? Who has the intelligence? Who has the power to perform this kind of thing? Only the Creator! Only the One who engineered people in the beginning.

There is little question that there needs to be a change in the basics of human nature. There is simply no other way that peoples from all nationalities will be able to live in harmony with each other. There is no other way for there to be lasting peace among the nations. It's the only way to put a final end to wars and hatred.

Spiritual Rebirth

Jesus said, Unless a person is born again they will neither see nor enter the kingdom of God. Why such an extereme statement? It's sounds extereme to us because we are not seeing how extereme the plite of all human nature is. We're not looking at things through the eyes and heart of God. God knows exactly what it will take for people to be able to live in His presence, in His eternal Kingdom and He know exactly what it will take more people to be able to live in perfect harmony with each other. It will take a total change in the human nature. That's God has purposed through His creaive work of being "Born Again" by the power of the Holy Spirit.

According to God's Word all people are in need of being "Born Again because all of us are born into this world with a nature that has been poisoned by sin. Dogs bark because they're dogs. Cats meow becaue they're cats. People sin because they are sinners. It's human nature to hate, steal, kill, argue, harbour bitterness, refuse to forgive, etc. Rom 3:23 - For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard.

All the laws in the world will never change the human heart. Laws can presure us to conform but they lack the power to transform. Only through being spiritually "Born Again" are we able to receive from God a new nature, one that pleases Him. 2 Cor. 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Provider of the Antidote

There is a God provided antidote for the poison of life. The poison in your life might be rejection, parinoia, hatred, bitterness, lying, arogance, drunkeness, drug adiction, or it might be fear. The list from the dark side of human nature is vast but God has made away for everyone of us to be free from our sins and the sin nature.

No one needs to live in the bondage of a poisoned life. No one! The Bible makes it absolutely clear that, whoever wants to, can come to the Lord Jesus Christ, receive forgiveness, and be "Born Again" by the power of Almighty God. Jesus died on the cross as your substitute. He took your place. He paid in full the price that purchased sins antidote. You can be free. And you can be free right now. Act 2:21 - But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.'

If you where diagnosed as having a life threatening disease would you seek the doctors help? Would you make an appointment to see the specialist or would wait until perchance a doctor might knock at the door. There is an antidote, a God provided antidote and it's found in Jesus.
